  • Individuals that weigh exactly the same, but have different body shapes can differ in their blood alcohol content, even if they have drunk exactly the same amount of alcohol.
  • Measurements of brain electrical activity showed that infants of mothers who consumed at least one drink per day during the first trimester of pregnancy exhibited sleep disruptions and increased arousal compared with infants of women who did not consume alcohol.
  • In order for alcohol to significantly lower testosterone, a person would have to drink 120 grams of alcohol, which is equivalent to 10 beers; this amount will lower testosterone by over 20%, for up to 16 hours after the binge drinking episode, according to a recent government medical study.
